A grieving widower is suing a hospital after his wife collapsed and died from a massive stroke – just hours after she was sent home accused of pretending to be ill.
Philip Maddox, 58, was told by doctors his wife Maggie, 53, needed psychiatric help because they could find nothing wrong with her despite her complaining she was in agony with severe headaches and vomiting.
An inquest heard she first went to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent, on June 14, 2010, but was sent home, having been told there was nothing wrong with her.

Tragic as the story is, I feel uncomfortable it being reported by the Daily Fail, who have an anti-NHS agenda. Mistakes are made, but thankfully they’re not as common as the right-wing media would have us believe.
I disagree wholeheartedly, i know of thousands of medical mistakes you only need visit sites like ssri stories and similars.
The second biggest killer disease in america to follow cancer is that of medicinal errors and its well into over a hundred thousand a year.
30.000 deaths in England alone per year are attributed to medical error (thats just the reported cases others like myself are blacklisted on complaints and ignored regardless of evidence).
There are thousands of medical screw ups a week take a look at health and ethics law, many are ignored and result in both deliberated malpractice and fatality to ensure cover up.
If anything this stuff is under reported,
The only way I can desribe it is as thus: it is like a neuralgia in the face, and it can be like a dull feeling, and you feel very tired and off balance, it lasted for a few days then I went to bed to sleep it off, then it happened. Still covered up today!
I feel for you, the NHS is a vile company that covers up all errors, only the lucky ones who can afford a good lawyers can get any justice. The complaints system is brutal, results in blacklisting and often fataly so,
the medical profession sticks together like shit on a groved shoe and are callously out for themselves.
The true amount of medical error is never known due to cover ups but the actuality of reported cases is shockingly high.
