Dependence on food stamps in the United States is now at an all-time high with the Congressional Budget Office releasing new data that shows 45 million people received food stamps in 2011. That’s a 70 percent increase from 2007. Spending for the program rose to $72 billion, up $30 billion from four years ago.
Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney said that there are two opposing views about what’s behind the rise. One side says that we’re a compassionate society and in hard times, we feed the hungry. Those on the other side of the fence say that we’ve become an entitlement society. Varney said, “I think that particularly troubling though is the escalation, the rapidity with which we’ve adopted so many people on the food stamp program.”

I think when it comes the UK government will tell people they MUST give their fingerprints/DNA to the police, in order to stop fraud, to make sure it is you and not someone impersonating you to gain your food stamps/parcel, they will site what is happening in California as a good reason. They do want everyone on the national DNA database, and you know what will happen if you say NO!!!.
