DWP Spent over a £1million pounds on Audio Recording Machines for Fraud Dept…

I’m sure all of you are aware of the importance of the fight to get the Atos assessments Audio Recorded, I’m also sure your well aware of the determination of the government to deny us that right, excuse after excuse is given by the DWP and Chris Grayling, one minute anyone can have an audio recording of their assessment then you can’t have an assessment audio recorded because the machines are broken.

The DWP & Grayling often cite the cost to the British Taxpayer for not providing each assessment centre with an Audio Recording device, well folks it seems some areas of the DWP Can have as many bloody audio recording devices as they like, in fact one DWP Department has over 1000 machines at their disposal at a cost of over a cool £ 1 million pounds, that’s right over a million quid?

AV Niche supplied them with many of the machines – http://www.avniche.co.uk/index.html

Searching through other people’s FOI Requests I came across this new information, you’ll be able to read the document in full below, please make use of this info as you will but I’d send it out to as many of your local MPs as possible, the government continues to tell us it would be too expensive to provide this service to us, well folks as you can see that’s BOLLOCKS plain and simple.

  1. Thanks for sharing this information. I’m due for an assessment and have asked for it to be recorded. This info will come in handy if they start giving excuses.

  2. maybe i’m stupid or missing something.. but 1000 machines for £1million, equates to £10,000 per item…. what are they rock band quality?? i see there is only a cost for one on the atttached ist and that is not in use!!, strange that no price was available for the other35. hmmm calll me cynical but something seems amiss here x

I worked out that 1284 machines at a cost of £834.00 per machine including VAT worked out to over a million, I think my maths is correct?

  3. rotten to the core and they still not saying they want you to record as atos dwp now their goose is cooked by them as it at the moment they cant work around it as of lying but in time will most prob be ussing software that will help in their quest to make us 6million dollars roberts who can do anyhting ,and lose benefits as of it ,machines we know as soon as they come into their offices ops its broken no record jeff3

  4. I am an electronics engineer by profession & everything I just read tells me BULLSHIT! Because I used to do this as a job, both dealing & repairing this kind of equipment so they simply can’t lie to me about this kind of thing! I do remain fully up to date with tech & prices as everyone in my profession does even after they retire because it’s a way of life to us & NOT simply a job! If the costs they quote are actually true then someone somewhere has certainly made considerable money by FRAUD!…It really is that simple! They are either lying or they are criminals! I think knowing what I now know that they are BOTH!

  5. You should e mail them and put that info across or email the guardian stating that truth, have a news article about it. We need keep exposing every lie we are told, theres no need to get involved coz they (press) will go investigate for themselves and do a story on what you provide….

Every lie they tell aand we expose will be a step closer to proving their agenda.

  6. I agree with Anne this should be brought to the attention of as many people as possible, campaigners, MPs, W&P Committee and other web sites. They can have no excuse now not to record any assessment. If you dont mind Id like to send this to my MP who is looking into this for me. What a find this should add another nail in the coffin, again well done.Dave
