Accenture acquires BCS Consulting
Accenture acquired the financial change management consultancy firm BCS Consulting, extending its expertise and consulting experience in areas such as payments, open banking, operational resilience, financial crime and optimization of costs.
Founded in 2001, the London-based BCS Consulting team of 250 people join Accenture’s UK Financial Services Strategy and Consulting practice.
The buyout builds on some of Accenture’s most recent financial services acquisitions – Mudano, Orbium and Parker Fitzgerald – and expands its customer offering to some of the biggest technological transformation challenges facing banks today.
“Financial services companies continue to face critical challenges that have been intensified by the pandemic, such as unmanageable cost levels and digital disruption,” said Adam Markson, chief executive officer of financial services strategy and Accenture’s UK consulting practice. “BCS Consulting has a solid track record of helping businesses solve these problems. From solution design to technology implementation, BCS Consulting’s end-to-end capabilities help the industry create business models that drive efficiency and competitiveness, build resilience, and keep pace with change. “
BCS Consulting is the sixth acquisition Accenture completed in the UK in 2021 following the acquisitions of Edenhouse and Infinity Works in February, Cirrus and REPL in March and Xoomworks in October.
