PE Fund’s £ 15.2million fraud claims deemed too late

By Bonnie Eslinger (Oct 27, 2021, 7:07 p.m. BST) – The £ 15million ($ 20million) private equity fund’s fraud claim against a nursing provider is barred by the deadline for statute of limitations, a judge said on Wednesday.

High Court Judge Robert Miles noted that the European Real Estate Debt Fund filed its lawsuit against the care home company and its financial advisers in October 2017, more than six years after its initial investment in June 2011. But he added that if the lawsuit had been started on time, the fund would have won on most of its claims.
