Shawbrook Appoints Director of Risk and Operational Resilience

Shawbrook Bank has appointed its first Director of Risk and Operational Resilience as it further strengthens its corporate headquarters structure.

Jo Edwards holds the position with the goal of improving operational resilience across the bank as well as additional risk management processes in other areas of the bank.

In her new role, Jo will oversee the Bank’s existing operations resilience team as well as quality and risk control within the savings, consumption and real estate operations and collections and collections divisions.

Financial crime and data governance will also be key areas of intervention.

Jo brings more than two decades of financial services experience to this role, having held leadership roles at United Trust Bank, Nemo Personal Finance and V12 Retail Finance.

Jo said: “I am delighted to have joined Shawbrook in an exciting new role leading a strategically important department for the Bank.

“I bring a wealth of experience to this role, having worked in a wide range of roles in financial services, including customer experience, operations, sales and marketing, primarily in specialty banks.

“As we enter a new phase of implementing our Operational Resilience Program, we will be creating a ‘business partner’ style model to support the Bank’s divisions.
