Watchdog shakes open UK banking organization after ‘failures’

By Lucia Osborne-Crowley (October 1, 2021, 5:30 p.m. BST) – The competition watchdog said on Friday it discovered bullying, harassment, discrimination and victimization within the banking organization opened from the UK and that the agency boss had resigned as part of an overhaul.

The Competition and Markets Authority said its investigation into the Open Banking Implementation Entity – a body launched in 2017 to oversee the deployment of open banking in Britain – found the organization to be poorly managed and that leadership failures have led to a culture of bullying and harassment.
